Really having trouble with motivation lately. Not sure if it’s a natural rhythm thing, the monotony of work from home, or something else. My current projects are hard to get excited about, but that’s the nature of work. Not every assignment is going to light a fire under you. It could be the incredibly vague state the projects are in right now, which I prefer a really solid direction and objective. I don’t want to do a bunch of throwaway work and have to scramble at the last minute to meet deadlines. With one of those projects pushing back several months I might have to just take a week of vacation. With the pandemic restrictions starting to ease up, might be good to get some different scenery.
I’m pleased to report my California Buckwheat finally bloomed today. These little flowers are tiny, maybe 1/4 or 1/2 inch across. They’ve been budding for a week or ten days, and are supposed to bloom in kind of pompom bunches. I’m pretty excited about it, buckwheat is an anchor of any california native garden. I’m already planning for the next stages of the front yard and the backyard now.
