My buddy Dan from TI had a ride going this weekend with some friends of his. Jim from TI showed up also. I thought we were going to hit Crystal Lake but turned out we went up to Ojai. It’s a long trek up there, and thank GOD Ojai Gas has a bathroom.
Was a good day, I haven’t been up there in probably two years. Threats of ice above 4,000 feet had me a little freaked out as we were coming down the backside with all its shadows, but it all turned out OK. We cut across on Lockwood Valley Road which I’d never done before, and it was pretty fun. Little tight in a few places with the 10 mph advisory signs. I rarely seen a 10mph sign, but when I do they’re usually pretty serious about it. Today was no exception. Thankfully all the washes were dry, I hate fording creek crossings. All in all a great day of riding with some good dudes.
