Today was a grind, but in a good way. One of those work days where you get an assignment and you’re mostly let alone to knock it out. Honestly, the day flew by. Texted a little with my buddy Jon; I miss him and his wife dearly, but I know we’ll see each other soon enough. This social distancing thing is rough. Start our 8th week on it now. Miss my friends. Miss sports. Miss eating at my favorite restaurants; take out just isn’t the same.
The best part was the last of my birthday gifts arrived that my wife ordered. The pandemic and the heat had deliveries all jacked up, but today my covid-key showed up, as well as another I’m not ready to talk about yet. Hearing what I have from DHS about the virus on solid surfaces, and as much as I can’t stop touching my face, I am kind of nervous about touching door handles. My awesome wife recognized my concerns and found a solution from a company called MILSPIN. Let’s me open pull doors, use touch screens, without using my fingers. I wear glasses, and have since I was 15, so it’s really hard to not touch your face. And I love a good gadget so this is a perfect gift for me.
